Modeling evaporation with a meshfree collocation approach

Abstract In this paper, a new model for the below-boiling point evaporation process with meshfree collocation method is developed. order to capture phase change process, two different approaches are proposed: multi-phase and single-phase. First, approach considered, where novel mass transfer assumes that diffusion driven by vapor concentration gradient in air near interface primary driving force between phases as both liquid water air/vapor simulated. Then, water-only single-phase also proposed, which only For this, appropriate free surface boundary conditions developed based on convective theory incorporate airflow effects without explicitly simulating phase. validate proposed models, series of experiments varying temperature, relative humidity, rate conducted.
